As a key member of the Replenishment Service Center (RSC), the Sr. Director, Replenishment will identify and implement key strategic initiatives supporting our customers, field partners and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) aimed at; customer in-stock levels, inventory control and cost accuracy across the organization to enable the one US Foods way of replenishment excellence. This position will be the subject matter expert for all replenishment in the regions they support utilizing a continuous improvement mindset to maneuver between optimizing legacy process and building future solutions.
Ability to develop comprehensive strategies to enable teams to achieve/exceed goals. In general, these strategies will drive an enhanced customer experience, reduction of inventory waste and a competitive cost position to support sales, increase market share and maximize financial performance at the market, area and region level.
Direct accountability for the Sr. Manager(s) and day-to-day activities of the Replenishment Management team across the supported regions to achieve optimal Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), including: Customer Service Level, Purchase Order Accuracy, Days of Inventory on Hand (DIOH), Spoilage and Freight Revenue. Hiring, managing and developing staff to perform at the highest level is equally critical.
This position requires influential leadership and must translate objectives into deliverable strategies across the organization. Must maintain close collaborative relationships internally within the corporate environment as well as with Region and Area leadership at the field level in order to be an agent of change.
Effective communication and presentation skills are critical as this individual will be presenting to the overall larger team and frequently report to senior leadership.
Leads, coaches, and develops a team of 3 to 4 direct reports (Sr. Managers) and an indirect team of 75 to 80 Buyers (inventory replenishment) of, grocery and center of the plate (COP) categories.
Internal: Region Presidents, Area Presidents, Region VP’s of Merchandising, Area Replenishment Managers, Logistics, Operations, Merchandising, Category Management, Human Resources and IT
External: Suppliers, Brokers

Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred (Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, Operations or related area). Will consider the equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
Travel: Candidate must be willing to travel up to 25%
Related Experience: 10+years of progressive leadership; project management, training facilitation/documentation, metrics analysis and managing of large teams experience highly preferred. Experience in replenishment or procurement within a foodservice environment preferred. Experience utilizing LEAN Six Sigma tools also preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be proficient with suite of Microsoft Office products. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, as well as an ability to build relationships quickly with field leadership across all functions. Ability to thrive in ambiguity and proactively manage through conflicts and setbacks;
