The Credit Financial Analyst III analyzes credit data and financial statements of customers/vendors to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Duties and responsibilities are listed below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare detailed written analysis with recommendations of credit terms and credit limit for prospective, market and national customers which includes:
In depth financial analysis projections, including "what if" scenarios of bank covenant, default probability, along with other leverage and liquidity measures
Credit investigation through rating agencies (D&B, S&P, Moody's, Bloomberg), industry publication and accessing information through the Internet
Analyzing economic and market conditions as they relate to the customer, industry and market area
Monitor and Analyze existing market and national account credit relationships based on periodic or event driven credit reviews, which include:
In-depth financial analysis of historical and projected financial performance
Detailed assessment of credit mitigation by identifying major trends, risks, strength and weaknesses of credit.
Notify management of any credit risks or contract violations.
Analyze and evaluate market-level performance and opportunities thru benchmarking and tiering analysis, as well as analysis of division specific performance drivers
Attend Credit Review Meetings and huddles as appropriate to present analysis and answer questions
Customer calls/visits to review and discuss financial information
Other duties as assigned
High School or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Purchasing or other analytically oriented major preferred
- Three (3) years of credit, financial or business analyst experience is required.
Working knowledge of financial analysis techniques and accounting principles
High level proficiency with Microsoft Office; (Excel, Word, Outlook) understands formulas and utilizes v-lookups; and Outlook: schedules meetings, manages calendar
Ability to work with a large volume of data through tools such MS Excel.
Ability to observe, document and make recommendations on credit recommendations.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and interact with a variety of internal and external customers in a supportive and positive manner.
Strong attention to detail and flexibility follow through on commitments and to work within an environment of changing priorities.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Solid relationship building skills for interpersonal communication with internal and external customers and vendors.
Motivated self-starter that demonstrates positive attitude and business maturity.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to respond professionally to internal and external phone calls and correspondence.
Strong algebraic and problem solving capabilities.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative manner; demonstrate business maturity in conduct of daily activities; serve as a role model for coordinators.
Ability to comprehend and interpret complex credit terms.
Ability to learn new systems and processes with basic training.
Ability to prioritize workload, meet critical deadlines and work calmly under pressure.
