Basic Purpose-

The Replenishment Systems Optimization Manager is responsible for driving the development of best practices in replenishment, forecasting and system utilization for the organization by serving as subject matter expert in the areas of forecasting and replenishment strategy and analytics. Replenishment Systems Optimization Manager leads the effort to research and analyze data to support optimizing forecasting, inventory and cost.

Description-

Essential Duties

  • Manage and lead a team of senior analysts to deliver recommendations and solutions to Replenishment team.

  • Serve as subject matter expert in forecasting and replenishment best practices, as well as an expert in JDA DP & FF, driving system utilization and effectiveness.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities and obstacles, providing strategic analysis and providing guidance to the Replenishment leadership.

  • Oversees the effort to identify root cause and trending analysis on the inventory management process. Identifies performance issues and provides guidance across the replenishment organization to resolve obstacles.

  • Conducts data analysis and research to validate and support forecasting models, optimizing inventory and effectively managing costs. Identifies performance improvement opportunities as it pertains to statistical models, inventory management, service level, cost accuracy, and recommends innovative, validated solutions.

  • Leads the effort to cull and model supply and demand metrics and extrapolate patterns, identifying causal factors of existing and future problems, as well as opportunities, financial impact etc. - generates insightful strategies and plans to drive effectiveness.

  • Pursues maximum system utilization efficiencies, exploring new applications for system capabilities and resolving business problems with system solutions.

  • Provides and directs business recommendations and solutions along with the training and implementation plans to enable success. Conducts meetings to organize and prioritize improvement requests from Replenishment Directors and Managers.

  • Provides critical input for ongoing process development to support inventory goals. Works closely with trainers and replenishment team on implementing and sustaining best practices.

  • Works independently on multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications-

Education/Training: Education/Training: BA/BS Business, Supply Chain or another relevant field required. MBA desired

Related Experience: Minimum 5 years of Replenishment, Supply Chain or Logistics experience. Minimum 3 years prior management experience required. Prior foodservice or consulting experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be proficient with Manugistics Demand and Fulfillment; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access required; must have ability to proactively identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvement along with the ability to coordinate implementation of improvements with management; must possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to lead working sessions and presentations with Directors and VP’s.
