**SUMMARY

This position is responsible for processing all activities associated with Account Reconciliation. In that capacity the incumbent will have responsibility to ensure the proper protocol is followed to safeguard the Bank assets, and the proper documentation is maintained to evidence the approval process for daily and monthly reconciliations andpresent findings to management.

TheReconciliation Specialistwill interact with internal business partners within and outside of the department, including Prepaid, Accounting and third parties, to clarify anything that cannot be deciphered during the reconciliation process.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for reviewing and processing reconciliation items for the Bank’s General Ledgers and designated Demand Deposit Accounts, timely and accurately following policies and procedures.

  • Assists in protecting against the potential for monetary losses and internal/external fraud.**

  • Analyzes and resolves aging reports for outstanding balancing issues.

  • Responsible for daily and monthly reconciliation reporting.

  • Responsible for adhering to established service levels, and researching and retrieving information with a high degree of accuracy in order to accurately balance the extremely complex prepaid accounts.

  • Responsible forsettlement and oversight of and daily reconciliation processing of a complex assortment of merchant credits, declines, refunds, returns, chargebacks, adjustments, interchange, fees, and miscellaneous transactions.

  • Understands and complies with all Bank policies and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations pertinent to this position; stays informed and shares updates on changes with management. Required to successfully complete all required Compliance training.

Education and Work Experience

Minimum Required:

Associates degree or equivalent and one or more years of related experiencein accounting, bank loan or deposit operations required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in reconciliations, which can range from accounting reconciliations to reconciling differences similar to construction loan balancing or collateral monitoring activities is preferred.



Desired Education/Experience

Intermediate skills navigating bank systems, excel formulas and macros and running queries strongly desired. **_
