US Foods Manager, Merchandising Programs in Rosemont, Illinois

Job Description:

Basic Purpose-

The primary purpose of this role is to develop and own all programs managed by the Merchandising Effectiveness team from beginning to end. The work will be primarily focused on launching corporate initiatives for Exclusive Brands in a consistent manner. This role will manage and hold stakeholders accountable for key deliverable dates, escalate issues and develop framework for problem solving as needed to ensure initiatives are launched as scheduled.

Description-

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Owns the overall program plan development and maintenance of all Merch Effectiveness managed programs. This role drives continuous improvement and execution of identified solutions.

  • Manages program and project status by identifying issues to be escalated, problem solving to keep projects on time, and adjusting timelines as necessary

  • Owns and manages variety of documents and tools to manage program information including but not limited to Product Information Tool (PIT), Rollout Book, Forecasting, Program Plans & Marketing Documents. Work with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team to transition into new tool in development.

  • Collaborates with multiple cross functional groups to establish timelines and ensure strict adherence.

  • Works with senior leadership teams to gain alignment on execution of new programs and escalate when needed in case of existing programs.

  • Owns master repository of National Product Launches – Scoop, EBSL etc., updating with quarterly releases and discontinued items.

  • Provides additional project-based ad-hoc support

Qualifications-

Education/Training:

  • Bachelors degree required in business or related field

Related Experience

  • 3-5 years relevant business experience

  • Customer focused experience in foodservice, consumer packaged goods, or retail

  • 1 year project management experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and creative problem solver

  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at once

  • Advanced problem solving

  • Meeting management/facilitation skills

  • Ability to manipulate data, draw conclusions, and communicate findings

  • Work effectively as an individual with minimal supervision, or as a team member as required.

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Continuous improvement experience
