This position is accountable for all aspects of inventory adjustments. Partners with multiple functional Corp., Region, Area, and Market leads to achieve Inventory Adjustment goals. Provide best practices and corrective action for the root cause of key issues/opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for a subset of the Focus markets; market visits required with an evaluation of breakdown in processes and areas of opportunity. Assist the teams in getting actions and processes in place to meet or exceed the Inventory Adjustment AOP targets;

  • Review on a daily, weekly, monthly basis the results dashboards, analyze data, and coordinate implementation of action plans to improve performance in inventory control area and attain inventory adjustment goals. Responsible for working with the markets on process improvements, actions and follow ups, and deep dive into top issues/opportunities;

  • Participate in focus markets weekly Inventory Adjustments meetings and ensure completion of agreed action items. Partner with market Operations Management to set accountability by implementing processes, following routines, and determining root cause;

  • Provide a Restart of the Damage 2.0 Routine and participate in focus markets weekly Damage performance team meetings. Partner with market Operations Management (Damage Champion, VPO, Warehouse Mgr., CI Lead) to set accountability by implementing actions, follow ups, and progress;

  • Implement and maintain standardized processes and procedures across the organization. Collaborate with the ICMs, inventory control teams, and functional leaders of the markets/areas to coordinate policies, procedures, programs and initiatives to optimize the market performance. Partner with Support Office in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures related to inventory control. Serve as an advocate for division/region inventory control issues and concerns, while maintaining and enforcing company policies and guidelines (i.e. US Foods SOPs);

  • Support M&A with on-boarding/training new ICMs and assisting with the transition to US Foods policies and procedures related to Inventory Control and Damage;

  • Support market turnover by on-boarding/training new ICMs and Warehouse Managers;

  • Support development and implementation of power apps for utilization with tablets to create efficiency and standardization;

  • Other ad hoc reporting and projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training :

  • High School diploma required. Associates degree with management/operations background preferred.

Related Experience :

  • A minimum of 3-5 years in inventory control or warehouse management; directing, leading, and mentoring teams;

  • Must be able to partner and collaborate cross-functionally.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :

  • Strong understanding of inventory control procedures;

  • Strong understanding of distribution processes;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and ability to learn proprietary systems;

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills required;

  • Ability to prioritize activities in a multi-tasked ever-changing environment required;

  • Ability to strengthen accountability;

  • Must possess excellent communication skills, written and verbal, consistent with working with all levels of an organization;

  • Compliant with SOX controls and reporting;

  • Exhibits US Foods Leadership Behaviors.

TRAVEL:

  • Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time; as needed.
