Job Description:

Basic Purpose-


The Manager Advanced Analytics Programs (Insights & Analytics) is responsible for owning analytics programs from initiation through deployment and ongoing updates. Will develop analytics strategies and assets to create solutions for our business partners. The manager will understand the complexity and scope of the business problem, create strategies to solve the problem, lead development of predictive and advanced analytics, manage change management and collaborate with delivery channels, all to develop and deploy a sustainable solution. The programs may be branded under CookBook, and the manager will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all CookBook/analytics programs and assets.

Strategic Solution Development:

  • Lead collaboration and understanding of business problem with senior business partners
  • Develop strategic solutions, leveraging prescriptive analytics, predictive analytics, advanced analytics and tool development, to create sustainable programs and solutions for business partners
  • Own relationships with all business partners including VPs and Directors of Locally Managed Sales, National Sales, Merchandising, Revenue Management, and other business partners
  • Serve as SME on all CookBook related programs and assets
  • Promote CookBook programs and assets across US Foods. Identify additional opportunities to support business partners through analytics and tools development
  • Leads a team of cross-functional peers to develop and integrate process, change management, technology, and analytical asset integration

Prescriptive, Predictive and Advanced Analytics:

  • Implement prescriptive, predictive and advanced analytics to optimize sales, cases, EBITDA and maximize efficiency of our business partners
  • Direct future prescriptive, predictive and advanced analytics developed by internal and external analytics teams
  • Manage prescriptive, predictive and advanced analytics resources to meet Annual Operating Plan goals; Prioritize analytical roadmaps
  • Serves as SME on all CookBook related prescriptive, predictive and advanced analytics

Tools and Reports Development:

  • Provide thought leadership in areas of tools and reports development
  • Lead integration of analytics, tools, processes and delivery channels (e.g., SFDC, eCommerce) to create a seamless experience for end users
  • Lead development of tools and reports for end users, including developing requirements, reviewing user stories, evaluating IT development progress, managing UAT and training end users
  • Be a SME of applicable tools, databases and systems

Deployment and Value Realization:

  • Lead deployment and value realization strategy (e.g., communication, training, org structure) for CookBook programs
  • Drive strategic and thoughtful coordination and execution of all aspects of the role
  • Ensure flawless deployment through management of business partners, IT, consultants and end users


Education / Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business / Marketing / Finance / Operations or related field required
  • MBA or advance degree preferred

Related Experience:

  • 5 years demonstrated successful experience supporting at least one functional area, e.g., sales, sales operations, merchandising or other sales related roles; supply chain; marketing; category management
  • 5 years demonstrated successful experience in analytical roles
  • 5 years demonstrated successful experience in food distribution, retail, CPG or related industries
  • 2 years managing direct and indirect reports
  • 2 years project management experience
