US Foods Load Coordinator in Rosemont, Illinois

The Load Coordinator ensures product availability through the timely delivery of all company inbound (USF managed, vendor delivered, backhaul, cross dock) transportation loads to multiple warehouse locations. Works directly with the Load Planning Team, Logistics Development Team and Replenishment to drive freight revenue, service fill rate and on-time delivery across all divisions. Determines the best delivery mode that meets or exceeds customer expectations while managing costs.
Analyze financial impact of requests from purchasing, operations, suppliers, and the transportation providers related to detention, unloading, and other accessorial charges and makes the decision on whether to approve or deny additional charges
Determines the most appropriate recovery solution based on understanding customer acquisition cost vs. expediting cost along with out of stock service issues and out-bound re-delivery cost to customers.
Analyze on-time service to divisions; identify issues, provide/implement resolution, track results to completion
Monitor inbound delivery schedule, along with future receiving appointments in SmartDock, and update purchase order receiving date information
Analyze multiple inventory reports to proactively manage and resolve inbound issues
Monitor fill-in transfer orders in coordination with RSC and Division Replenishment to ensure product is prioritized accurately and meets requirements
Collaborate with Division Operations to adjust and balance inbound receiving without negatively affecting service levels
Education/Training: Four-year college degree in business, operations, or supply chain management or equivalent supply chain work experience required.
Related Experience: 3 years progressive logistics, transportation, or distribution experience is preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work through obstacles to achieve a goal; ability to interact positively with wide variety of employees at all skill levels; demonstrate effective problem-solving, sense of urgency, conflict management, and negotiation skills; Proficiency required in the use of Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Outlook and Excel, as well as PRISM, SmartDock, Manhattan -TMS experience preferred.
