SUMMARY**__

This position is responsible for utilizing computer software and other tools to encode, add, cancel, photocopy, and sort checks, drafts, and money orders for collection and to prove records of transactions by performing the following duties.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These are the most significant job duties performed. The size, scope and complexity of assigned duties and responsibilities are dependent on the level and experience of the incumbent. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each assigned essential duty satisfactorily.   • Operators key dollar amounts, account numbers serial numbers and Routing Transits values mis-reads keying from Image.

  • Read check and enters data such as amount, routing number, check # or account number.

  • Compares captured totals and items captured to prove out deposit received and rechecks each item if totals differ.

  • Keys and corrects amounts or prepares transaction correction record, if error is found.

  • Prepare file for external transmission to correspondent, this consists of importing transit items virtual image network and exporting (after dollar amount is verified and duplicate check is preformed) file to correspondent.

  • Import external files from clearing banks to our internal systems and virtual sort these into the TCM (Transaction Content Manager) in-house item processing network. Enters commands to transfer data from machine to computer.

  • Prepare file for transmission to core for posting.

  • Maintain in-house equipment.

  • Maintain retention of all checks captured according to Banks agreed upon retention schedule.

  • Print notices (i.e. Overdrafts, Charge backs, Customer adjustments).

  • Understands and complies with all Bank policies and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations pertinent to this position; stays informed and shares updates on changes with management. Required to successfully complete all required Compliance training.

  • Continuously supports the Bank’s Mission Statement and Core Values.

Minimum RequiredHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED);and required years of related experience and/or training for level; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Level I: zero to six months related experience and/or training;

  • Level II: one year related experience and/or training;
