SUMMARY**__

The Indirect Lending Underwriter, under the direction of the Indirect Lending Department, will provide information to dealers regarding the bank credit policies. The incumbent will also review and process loan applications, approve/ disapprove and disburse loans.**

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes information received from credit application and consumer credit data to make prudent decisions regarding credit approval that are within credit authority.

  • Negotiate terms and conditions of loan decisions with dealers within established approval/exception guidelines to ensure credit quality and profitability.

  • Manages and obtains satisfactory application approval. Purchases, captures and closes deals within company guidelines. Captures approved deals through negotiation with dealers utilizing sales skills.

  • Monitors dealer productivity and calls dealers for approval and follow-up on pending contracts to increase capture ratios.

  • Manages yield based on company guidelines. Supports changes in origination strategies as needed.

  • Assists in managing efficiencies through dealer education.

  • Remains informed on all industry related trends.

  • Consistently meets or exceeds volume requirements.

  • Demonstrates proficiency on all aspects of underwriting.

  • Consistently achieves satisfactory credit audits.

  • Consistently achieves satisfactory charge off levels.

  • Consistently achieves satisfactory 12-Month charge off performance.

  • Adheres to all MB Financial Bank policies and procedures and complies with all applicable regulations and laws.

  • Conducts customer interviews on credit applications to gather and document information pertaining to making credit decisions.

  • Understands and complies with all Bank policies and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations pertinent to this position; stays informed and shares updates on changes with management. Required to successfully complete all required Compliance training.

**_Education and Work Experience

_**

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of credit reporting, debt to income ratios preferred.

  • Credit -Knowledge of one or more of the following: commercial and consumer credit regulations, policies, and procedures; loan analysis, restructuring, and documentation; collection techniques; structure financing analysis.
