The Director, Security will provide strategic guidance, expertise and operational management to ensure that US Foods has a safe and secure environment for our employees and assets. This leader will be responsible for continuing to build and lead our physical security & workplace violence strategy and vision for US Foods. Th e Director will reduce risks through the continuous development of portfolio and site standards, detailed processes, centralized approaches, training, and engagement of our employees. Key partnerships will be developed within the Real Estate organization and all levels of our Safety, Investigations, Human Resources, Legal, IT Departments and our field operations. The Director is responsible for physical security and workplace violence leadership across all of US Foods’ portfolio consisting of a wide variety of properties such as; temperature-controlled distribution centers, retail stores, training and test kitchen facilities, food processing facilities and office.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Leads The Redevelopment And Sets The Strategy Of The Us Foods Approach To Physical Security And Workplace Violence;
Continuously Improves Company’S Physical Security Policies And Procedures Through Collaboration And Cost-Effective Approaches That Reduce Risks;
Leads And Partnes To Focus On Company-Wide Programs Preventing And Responding To Workplace Violence;
Builds Threat Assessment Program For Portfolio And Creates A Roadmap To Build To Standard With Continuous Monitoring;
Leads The Day To Day Management Of All Physical Security And Workplace Violence Operations;
Develops On-Going Programs To Test And Improve Each Site’S Adherence To Standards And Processes That Reduce Risks;
Have A Broad Base Understanding Of Emerging Best Practices, Current And Future Technology;
Builds The Company’S Security Awareness Culture Through Partnerships And Results And Directly Ties This Into The Company’S Safety Culture;
Establishes Strong Intelligence And Partnership Networks With Local, State, And Federal Law Enforcement;
Partners With Construction And Facility Teams To Develop Security Plans For New And Renovated Sites;
Assists In The Development And Implementation Of Emergency Procedures;
Oversees Event Security Program.
Education/Training:Bachelor'S Degree Required;
Advanced Degree Preferred.
Related Experience/Requirements:Minimum Of 10+ Years Of Progressive Corporate Security And Workplace Violence Experience;
Must Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience Leading Teams;
Experience Needed With Budget, Working With 3Rd Parties, Leading Transformation Or Large Scale Strategy.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Subject Matter Expert In Corporate Security And Workplace Violence;
Demonstrated Leader And Influencer That Has Transformed Organizations;
Ability To Prepare, Review And Present In-Depth Cases For Change;
Demonstrated Strong Leadership Skills, Creating Highly Collaborate Teams, And Challenging The Status Quo;
Proven Resolution Skills In High Pressure Situations;
Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills;
Must Have A Flexible Work Schedule To Include Evenings And Weekends As Required;
Advanced Skills In Microsoft Products Such As Excel And Powerpoint;
Ability To Travel Up To 25% Of The Time.
