Job Description:

Basic Purpose-

Responsible for creating and maintaining a successful relationship with one of the largest GPO (Group Purchase Organization) serviced by our company.

Description-

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in developing andimplementing strategies for National Contract accounts across all segments tomeet assigned sales and profitability objectives;

  • Develop sales pipelineand bring on new business to US Foods;

  • Maintain and strengthencustomer relationships by understanding and responding to customer needs andmarket conditions in a timely and effective manner utilizing appropriateresources as needed;

  • Monitor and managecontract utilization, division performance, and resolution of supplier issuesassociated with contract pursuit and execution;

  • Provide a road map forcustomer contracting activity to drive sales growth to aligned suppliers byusing US Foods' Category Management review process;

  • Coordinate with fieldorganization to drive revenue objectives, contract compliance, brand alignmentand customer satisfaction;

  • Coordinate with NASRteam to oversee execution of item management processes that ensure effective servicefor our customers;

  • Manage relevantcommunication to field sales personnel and support office staff to assureunderstanding of contracts and USF/customer business objectives;

  • Conduct Business Reviewsto ensure alignment between customer and US Foods;

  • Provide seniorleadership information necessary to maintain field sales focus on customers andUSF objectives;

  • Frequent overnight travelrequired (up to 50%).

Qualifications-

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or comparableexperience required.

Related Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years’ sales experience required(foodservice or related industry preferred);

  • Demonstrated positive customer interfacingexperience also required;

  • Prior national account/hospitality experiencepreferred;

  • Experience dealing with large regional ornational multi-location chains strongly desired.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills – relationshipbuilder;

  • Ability to leverage relationships to achievebusiness goals, strategic thinking skills, strong business acumen and businessmaturity required;

  • Must have excellent oral/written communicationskills and be well-organized with strong follow-through. Strong leadership andteam- building skills with proven results orientation also required;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook,PowerPoint, and Word.
