US Foods Benefits Manager in Rosemont, Illinois
The Benefits Manager is responsible for managing and analyzing the performance of US Foods Health & Welfare plans.
This position will be responsible to manage the performance of US Foods Health & Welfare Plans with a targeted focus on managing vendor relationships and their contractual performance in meeting service level agreements which includes medical (BCBS) and Rx (CVS) providers. Meet regularly with assigned vendors to monitor plan performance. Primary liaison to ensure optimal efficiencies are created and used to provide assigned vendors with current data to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
Develop and manage a score card report of the health of US Foods working with outside consultants and vendors. Provide program recommendations based upon analysis of health data, score card reports and wellness plan activities utilization.
Primary liaison with Finance to manage the process for benefits forecasting, budgeting and monthly plan cost.
Primary lead for all compliance activities. Be well versed in legislative and regulatory issues and ensure compliance of plans as governed by Health Care Reform, ERISA, IRS and DOL. Lead role in managing and updating the Summary Plan Descriptions for all Benefit Plans, including multiple union plans. Manage the 5500 process, 1095 tax reporting process and other required compliance tests. Coordinate activities with all appropriate internal and external parties.
Support RFP initiatives as well as acquisitions analysis working closely with cross-function teams.

Education/Training: Minimum 4 year degree and subject matter expert in all facets of health & welfare plan design and administration. Industry designations preferred but not required (CEBS, PHR, etc.)
Related Experience: Minimum 5 years benefits experience in large multi state company. Demonstrated project management of health & welfare and wellness programs administration required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Highly organized, creative, analytical thinking and results-driven orientation required. Must have demonstrated ability to draw conclusions and trends from data analysis and offer appropriate solutions to improve processes. In-depth knowledge of medical management and integration with wellness programs also required. Prior knowledge of PeopleSoft HR/Payroll system and work with Hewitt strongly desired. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook, etc).
