Legal and Commercial Services professionals deliver and coordinate legal, contract and commercial advice and counsel in support of Accenture's or our clients' business, working to manage and mitigate risk and ensure ethical behavior and compliance with laws and company policies.
Professionals in our Corporate Functions run and manage Accenture’s internal operations and all activities across our business, from finance, HR and legal to workplace management, operations and marketing and communications. They are the engine that powers Accenture, enabling us to provide the capabilities and expertise that clients need to help them become high-performance businesses.
Review, draft and negotiate several types of contractual agreements, including: master services agreements, outsourcing and consulting agreements and, statements of work, subcontract agreements, asset and software licensing agreements, third party asset and service asset agreements, software as a service agreements, and agreements focusing on AI, cloud, mobility, analytics and security, etc. Assist more senior level counsel in managing more complex transactions within a fast-moving corporate environment
Strategize with company executives prior to client negotiations
Structure client transactions to be most advantageous from a contracting and business perspective
Advise and consult company professionals based on accurate interpretation of contract documents and the facts of a business opportunity
Participate in developing internal guidelines, toolkits, and packaged knowledge capital on various legal and business issues
Educate company professionals in regard to contracting and risk management issues
Represent the company’s interests and interface directly with client negotiating teams
JD or Bachelors of law degree (based on geography) with tenure in good standing with one state or provincial bar
Minimum of 4 years of contracting experience in an appropriate fast-paced corporate environment is essential. Experience in negotiating technology or outsourcing agreements, including consulting, systems integration, software licensing, SaaS or business process outsourcing agreements is preferred.
Experience resolving, drafting for, and negotiating, complex legal and business issues
Proven ability to efficiently manage a large volume of complex transactions
Experience in independently managing and drafting transactional documents and correspondence
Understanding of intellectual property and privacy issues as they apply to consulting, systems integration, digital and outsourcing transactions
Understand basic principles of Finance, Accounting, Marketing, and Management
Strong technology acumen is an asset
Able to present alternatives and proposed solutions
Responsive and follows through on commitments
Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
Ability to apply judgment to broaden influence
Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
Work Requirements: Travel may be required
