Job Description:

Applies technical knowledge in determining end to end design requirements for large projects involving line of business, software/hardware developers and vendors. Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure. Drives and participates in design, development and implementation of large and complex enterprise wide applications, often using new technologies. Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs. May manage projects including responsibility for a project and project budget. Works under minimal supervision on enterprise wide projects requiring creative solutions. IT degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically requires a minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience. Job Description

Position is for a Business Analyst to support the IMM project within the Credit & Munis Front Office Technology Team.

We are looking for a business analyst who has experience working on process and system change within investment banking and regulatory environments.

The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst is to aid coordination and delivery of initiatives within the IMM program by working with various stakeholders on removing impediments and driving towards the program goals.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding documented requirements and mapping this to technical delivery. Where there are gaps, the candidate will be expected to work with relevant teams to help close so that an agreed technical delivery can be achieved.


  • Manage priorities and issues across teams, mediating and resolving conflicts to develop strong cross team cooperation.

  • Facilitate strong scope control on all aspects of the project.

  • Document (meeting minutes) workshops for all working streams.

  • Assist in looking at solutions/options to address gaps, including system builds as well as business practices.

  • Detailed analysis of data gaps and anomalies.

  • Work collaboratively with Counterparty Risk, the Front office and the other technology teams involved in delivery (Operations, Quartz Core etc).

  • Assist and support in the development and documentation of the current and future state Volcker metrics platform architecture and end state solution.

  • Deliverables may include authoring business requirements, documenting RAID points and providing workflow diagrams.

  • Perform and coordinating User Acceptance Testing.

  • Provide comprehensive test plans to IT that has been validated and signed off by End Users for Compliance.


  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to work closely with business partners and execute on their specified goals and direction

  • Ability to display that candidate can multitask and perform in a time pressured environment

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Access and SQL is preferred.

  • Strong in Fixed Income & Equity products.

  • Significant party in multiple successful enterprise project deliveries.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills.

  • Ability to work across business groups and regions and in a team environment.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a variety of different teams simultaneously.
