Job Description:

Leads multiple projects that are significant in scope and impact. Serve as a SME and use that expertise to influence the optimal design and delivery of projects. Expected to lead by influence and drive strategic adoption. Demonstrated progressive growth in skill and responsibilities in various roles. Has extensive professional and functional knowledge developed through financial industry experience.

Responsibilities include: Provide subject matter expertise in process design, tool development or methodology validation ; Design and roll out analytical and technical tools for validations of new models/methodology; Provides guidance and mentoring to junior analysts as needed; Be a solution provider who can leverage the knowledge and experience to deliver a high quality end product; and Understands financial products across all asset classes and has extensive knowledge of technical implementations. Posses advanced degree in physic, applied mathematics, statistics/probability or another heavy quantitative discipline.

Quantitative Services Risk Standardization professional analyzes post CPRT risk methodology and implementation across all LOBs within Global Markets, and works with FO quants, risk and technology teams toward target standardization.

Key responsibilities: Understand and analyze risk implementations post CPRT using Excel/VBA, GDA, SQL and Qz/Python. Work with quants, risk or technology teams to identify and prioritize inconsistent implementations. Test and validate components of target controls and adjustment build-out.

Requirements: The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of financial products and risk with strong analytical and quantitative skills, a self-starter, be very comfortable working independently with significant amounts of data, maintain close attention to detail, look to understand process, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and capable of handling multiple priorities. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to build strong working relationships with stakeholders including FO Quants, Market Risk, Technology and other business partners. Candidates should expect to demonstrate process leadership and ownership.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree preferred in Business, Finance or Economics

  • Several years' experience working with OTC financial products

  • Superior proficiency working with Excel spreadsheets

  • Experience working with VBA and SQL

  • Knowledge of one or more Object Oriented programming language such as Python (preferred), Java, C++ Strong problem resolution skills
