Performs project mgmt responsibilities relating to IT implementations, upgrades, conversion and recovery. May also provides analytical support for IT projects. Develops and revises project materials and maintains project documentation. Defines and evaluates problems and plans effective solutions. Recommends improvements in project deliverables. Assists in defining the scope and impact of projects and effectively communicates the impact on the organization. Establishes project tasks, timelines and budgets and effectively manages them. Background and Responsibilities:
GMOT provides technology solutions and services for capital markets operations within Bank of America Merrill Lynch. GMOT has development teams in Chicago, New York, Toronto, London, and India with business users in those locations and also Charlotte, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Sydney.
An experienced program manager is being sought to assist in managing a suite of applications supporting our OTC derivative confirmations business. Candidates should have a technical background and management experience within technology organizations. Coordination across many internal teams across all regions will be required.
We support Java and Python technology stacks along with several vendor components including SmartDX, Scrittura, DS Match, MarkitSERV, and Swift.
The candidate will be responsible for managing budgets, audits, technology initiatives, vendor relationships, initiative planning, and resource forecasting. Interaction with our business partners, subject matter experts, and developers within and outside of the GMOT will be required.
Experience managing in house and vendor infrastructure
Experience navigating large internal organizations
Experience with internal and external audit, risk, and compliance reviews
Strong communication skills
Familiar with the Agile SDLC and Scrum
Familiar with capital markets business and OTC derivative confirmations
Familiar with capital markets industry platforms: DS Match, MarkitSERV, and Swift
Familiar with OTC derivative products (all lines of business)
