The role is of Program Manager (PMO) within the Quantitative Services function (QS). Quantitative Services (QS) is a resource pool managed within Global Markets Shares Operations (GMSO) but provides support to many different areas of the Bank such as; Front Office, Market Risk, Global Risk Analytics, Corporate Treasury, Finance and Operations. It is a sub-speciality within GMSO focusing on development and operation of processes with a high degree of quantitative analysis, data management or technology development. The group covers all lines of business across the globe and has a significant footprint in India where we undertake business as usual processes and prototyping work.
The PMO role is to support the PMO function within Quantitative Services (QS) group. The responsibilities of the PMO can range from providing project management support functions to actually being responsible for the direct management of a project. Candidates will support and improve the project management within the teams, through the setting of standards and methodology, reporting to senior management on status, risks and deviations. They will offer support to project owner, provide administrational support and contribute with recommendation to project governance, rigour and process. Will assist with training and cross team development. This person is expected to be involved in all aspects of the change from communicating a comprehensive plan across all aspects to Senior management as well as working with various partners from, Risk, Front Office, Technology, in terms of project management as well as technology strategy.
To provide a Program Management within Quantitative Services team, drive delivery of milestones in individual roadmaps against critical path while ensuring that appropriate governance processes, escalation paths and project management reporting frameworks are in place, responsible for tracking project milestones while developing, maintaining and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.
Effectively communicates with senior managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed from them. Strong track record of managing expectations at the senior leadership level
Partner with Change Management, Risk, Technology, Operations and other stakeholders throughout life cycle of the project
Produce Executive level summary transition packs outlining the current state process, future state process and summary of the change in the control environment and program status documentation.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of data sciences, Risk Management, Financial Markets, Products and process flows within a Banking and Capital markets organization.
5+ years prior project management experience with specific experience with large Portfolios/Programs
Leadership skills and proven experience leading projects with multiple stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable engaging with individuals across the organization.
Strong decision making skills with an assertive and proactive communication style
Demonstrated problem solving, strong follow up skills and ability to escalate and gain resolutions as needed
Strong organization skills including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize
Keen attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
Experience creating management dashboards and reporting
