Bank of America Ops Professional Markets (Client Delivery/Initiatives) - Chicago, IL in Chicago, Illinois
Provides technical and analytical support in a global markets operations function for one or more operations product areas. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exceptional handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. May manage projects and/or the introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes, coordinating necessary expertise across multiple operations functions and/or products. As a technical expert, may also function as an informal team lead, providing work direction and technical guidance to less experienced employees in resolving complex transactions and operational problems. Requires extensive experience in an operations support function with thorough working knowledge of fundamental business structure and operational aspects for specific transactions and products. As a technical expert, will consult on a wide variety of topics across functional and business support lines.
Current team is responsible for evaluating, designing and implementing strategic plans across Global Markets. Team liaises with business partners, operational managers and subject matter experts to assess current state and diagnose key opportunities to define various target state strategies.
Key focus of this role: Client self service gap analysis, synergy in cross product offering across Global Markets and identification of enhancements or builds required to increase our current offering, as well as drive adoption to tools available today. Business Analysis responsibilities require development of strong relationships with the core stakeholders including product management, operations and numerous technology teams, as well as documentation of functional requirements and translation to technical design and impact specifications
Perform deep dive analysis on process deficiencies and create clear outputs of evaluations
Responsible for evaluating work drivers within the core processing teams and providing end to end evaluation and execution of solutions (i.e opportunities to influence client behavior, capability/platform deficiencies)
Collect, maintain & develop relevant metric details for in scope efforts
Responsible for medium - large projects for an operations department, product or business unit
Develop clear, concise solutions through coordination with various groups within Tech, Ops and Business
Desired Skills / Experience:
Knowledge of Global Markets Operations
Prime Brokerage, Custody, Institutional FICC & Equity
Knowledge of Middle Office & Back Office processing (trade capture, settlement, confirmation, life cycle management, asset servicing)
Experience in data collection, process mapping, and process analysis
Strong organizational skills and ability to switch between tasks and to prioritize work effectively
Intellectually curious, creative thinker, change-focused
Ability/willingness to continuously learn on the job
Intermediate-level Excel knowledge or higher
Able to build relationships, credibility and collaborate at many levels
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Project management skills
Results oriented individual with good problem solving abilities
