The Leasing Credit Officer I will provide support functions and underwriting for the Global Vendor Products Credit Team ensuring a favorable client experience. The LCOI’s role includes gathering underwriting information the level of which will vary based on the end user, preparing and maintaining credit files, and maintaining internal system integrity. An ability to multi-task and quickly learn and adapt BAL policies and procedures is mandatory. Daily communication with internal personnel and vendors will be required. Additional responsibilities include the evaluation, review, and written analysis of end users for submittal for final approval. Ideal candidates would be highly motivated individuals with a desire to learn the various facets of credit underwriting and analysis in order to progress into positions of higher responsibility within the credit underwriting function.

Education Requirement

Undergraduate degree required; preferably in a business, finance, accounting, or related field.


  • Experience working in a business setting preferably within the finance and banking industry

  • Preferably possessing a basic conceptual understanding of Vendor Leasing

  • Strong organizational skills (time management, multi-tasking, prioritization)

  • Strong computer skills with a solid working knowledge of Excel

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to make and support independent decisions

  • Exhibit professional maturity, accountability and strong interpersonal skills with external clients and peers

  • Works effectively, both as a team member and independently Candidate must be efficient, reliable, extremely well organized with the ability to maintain and balance various responsibilities concurrently; commitment to producing a high quality work product

  • Demonstrated ability to model high standards of professional integrity and conduct
