MB Financial Bank Healthcare Banking Officer (Portfolio Management) - Lincolnwood or West Loop in Chicago, Illinois

The Healthcare Banking Officer collaborates with the daily management of an assigned portfolio of healthcare loans including the processing borrower requests while balancing credit risk. Responsibilities include but are not limited to analyzing financial statements, preparing financial models, processing borrowing bases as applicable, verifying compliance certificates, ensuring compliance with “Know Your Customer” guidelines, and preparing credit memos in accordance with loan documents, credit guidelines and policy. The Healthcare Banking Officer will be involved with significant client contact.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors timeliness of reporting, tickler information and ensures bank has current and accurate information to make decisions and remain expert on the credit and legal files.
Maintains up-to-date trend cards, credit files and legal files through the bank’s resources.
Reviews financial statement spreads for accuracy and raises issues/questions to management on a timely basis.
Prepares financial models as needed for new underwriting requests.
Prepares credit memos per division guidelines and policy.
Develops and maintains internal relationships following established processes and procedures.
Notes negative collateral and/or financial performance trends early while working with a Managing Director to execute on a strategy for a satisfactory outcome to the bank.
Provide assistance in portfolio reporting as requested by a Managing Director or Head of Portfolio Management
Continue education of the healthcare industry including regulatory, reimbursement and transactional changes and trends. Attend industry conferences and client meetings as requested.
Identify cross-selling opportunities of bank offerings, products and services to clients and prospects.
Mentor analysts assigned to the division.
Understands and complies with all Bank policies and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations pertinent to this position; stays informed and shares updates on changes with management. Required to successfully complete all required Compliance training.

Job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
**_Education and Work Experience
Minimum Required:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business is preferred.
1 to 2 years of underwriting or portfolio management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience preferred in the healthcare industry but not required.
