Job Description:

Risk Distribution : the distribution of trade assets is a critical and core function within the GTS Americas Trade organization. Due to a recent departure, there is a requirement to hire an individual that will report to the head of Global Trade Credit & Portfolio Management, with primary responsibilities of distributing Trade assets to the market, and supporting the Americas Trade team in structuring transactions with risk distribution in mind. Specifics include the following:

determine asset distribution strategy across the portfolio and execute according to this plan; coordinate with GTS Sales and Corporate Banking to ensure distribution of assets to an appropriate investor base, with a bias for those with which GTS and the wider franchise have a strong and growing relationship manage the portfolio of purchased assets and identify quality assets in the market for risk participation in line with FI and Corporate strategy advise the Trade Product and PSS teams on asset distribution strategy, as part of the structuring of primary trade deals – particularly FI Trade Loans and Supply Chain Finance perform market reads to keep the Trade team and wider GTS, CBK & Risk organization updated on investor appetite and general performance of the Trade secondary market monitor the portfolio of distributed and purchased assets and work closely with Trade Operations and Middle Office support regular reporting of distributions, as well as quarterly risk and portfolio reviews review and monitor documentation (such as participation agreements, etc.) in cooperation with Contract Management and Legal Collaborate and coordinate with Risk Distribution teams in London and Singapore to drive the global business and to execute on cross-border transactions .

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • High performing DIR with minimum of 4 years of Trade/Supply Chain Finance experience working for either bank, financial institution, or FinTech, with demonstrated record of agressive learning adoption.

  • Experience in Trade Finance and/or transaction services more broadly, with particular preference for working knowledge of risk distribution function

  • Understanding of the core Trade Finance product suite including traditional trade products, supply chain finance and risk distribution

  • Proven ability to drive both business development and project management

  • Strong knowledge of AML and KYC policies and procedures, critical to driving effective supplier onboarding and risk distribution

  • Exceptional P&L and financial management experience

  • Demonstrated technical skills, and a strong desire to challenge the status quo, and embrace new technology, outside providers/channel partners to accelerate growth.

  • Ability to exemplify the way forward by stretching beyond role and taking ownership throughout

  • Client presence, and excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Experience in influencing and leading virtual teams such as GTS Sales, CBK partners, GTS Fulfilment and clients

  • Proven track record in client management and ability to operate in a client-centric manner

  • Strong grasp of critical principles of risk management and compliance / anti-money laundering.

  • Customer centric approach balancing risk, profitability and responsible growth

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Strong work ethic, and the ability/willingness to take on broader responsibilities longer-term
