Bank of America Global Vendor Finance - Leasing Credit Officer in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

Evaluate and underwrite new end-user credit opportunities, including the identification and assessment of all strengths, weaknesses and risks (including operational) associated with the opportunity as well as identifying and describing mitigating factors. Responsible for the evaluation, review and written analysis of all factors that affect an entity’s ability to repay and/or service their obligations on time. The complexity of the entities and related transactions requiring analysis can vary over a wide spectrum.

The LCO II uses their skill set to assess the appropriateness of existing solutions and to propose optimal financing alternatives or additional financing solutions. They are involved in managing credit quality and the approval process through their interaction with Risk Management Officers, GVF Marketing Officers and Product Delivery Managers. The individual’s skill set, background and experience will determine the appropriate job assignment.

The LCO II must be able to interact effectively in a team environment as well as work independently with minimal guidance and direction. The ability to efficiently multi-task, and be decisive are important keys to success.

The position/qualification requirements as described are at a Leasing Credit Officer II level; however, depending upon the qualifications met by the candidate, the role could be filled at a Leasing Credit Officer I level.

Required Education:

Undergraduate Degree; preferred degree is Business, Finance, and Accounting

Prior Work Experience:

Greater than 5 years experience within the finance/banking industry with significant credit experience.
