MB Financial Bank Business Banking Relationship Manager - Chicago Metro Region (Downtown) in Chicago, Illinois
CMB *Reference: MS16522* SUMMARY*__
This position is responsible forthe development of business and client retention; identifying and converting targeted loan prospects, generating a deposit base and fee income; selling treasury management products, and cross selling and referring other bank product lines and services offered by the bank. May work in conjunction with Retail Branch network and train Retail staff on Business Banking Model.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify and convert new loan and deposit prospects.
Cross sell other products of the Bank.
Retain and service existing customer base.
Review the credit worthiness of prospect/customer via financial analysis, repayment ability, collateral status, etc.
Loan documentation- review and process loan documents and supporting information related to the credit transactions including facilitating loan closings.
Present loan proposals to the Bank’s Loan Committee when necessary.
Responsible for monitoring lines of credit.
Maintain professional working relationships with other support-related departments within the company.
May train the retail branch network as well as assist on calling and cold calling goals.
May assist retail branch network with proper treasury sales and customer treasury management.
Understands and complies with all Bank policies and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations pertinent to this position; stays informed and shares updates on changes with management. Required to successfully complete all required Compliance training.

**Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in related area of study and required experience for level; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bank business development and outside calling experience strongly preferred.
AVP level: three years or more of related experience.
VP level: five years of more of related experience.
**Job –Specific Knowledge Required
Sales – proven selling and negotiating skills with effective sales ability and persuasiveness and marketing techniques. Demonstrates knowledge in the following skills: client interviewing, sales, cross selling, consultative sales, proposals preparation, and presentation.
Marketing-Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products or services. Knowledge of sales techniques.**
Customer Service -Highly professional demeanor with excellent telephone skills and etiquette. Utilizes various interpersonal styles and communication methods to positively assist and influence customers.**
Credit -Knowledge of one or more of the following: commercial credit policies and procedures; loan analysis, restructuring, and documentation; collection techniques.
Finance & Accounting -Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis/review of customer financial information.
