US Foods Load Coordinator in Rosemont, Illinois

Job Description:

Basic Purpose-


Work directly with the Load Planning Team and Logistics Development Teams to drive freight revenue and income across all divisions and is directly responsible for day-to-day execution of the Planning Team Loads.

Analyze financial impact of requests from divisional purchasing, operations, suppliers, and the transportation providers related to detention, unloading, and other accessorial charges and makes the decision on whether to approve or deny additional charges.

Assess the effectiveness of load execution and manage the changes required to ensure effective execution of the load.

Education/Training:High School Diploma required, additional college courses in business or math preferred.

Related Experience:Minimum 4 years progressive logistics, transportation and distribution experience strongly desired. Prior experience with TMS applications and i2 experience preferred. High sense of urgency and customer service orientation required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Excellent customer service skills, ability to interact positively with a wide variety of employees at all levels. Demonstrated effective problem-solving, conflict management and negotiation skills.
