MB Financial Bank Senior Private Client Advisor - (Private Client Advisory) - 800 W. Madison in Chicago, Illinois
This position is responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of high net worth Private Client relationships. The Client Advisor should possess a deep understanding of the financial issues that accompany high net worth families. The Client Advisor must have experience developing new business through internal bank channels (e.g. Commercial Banking and Business Banking) as well as self-sourced initiatives such as working with outside Centers of Influence. The Client Advisor leads new client acquisition and retention through a broad and deep understanding of investment management, traditional banking services, trust services, and financial planning. This position targets individuals and/or entities with liquidity in excess of $1 million or owners of closely held businesses. The position has primary responsibility for the overall Client experience and will work within a team to deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions to their clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop new Wealth Management relationships through internal referral partners and external COIs.
Ongoing relationship management of new client relationships.
Leads the new business development initiative for Private Client opportunities and may also participate in other Institutional investment opportunities. Solicits business from potential clients including investment management, credit, deposits, and trust services.
Profiles clients to determine financial goals, resources, assets available to invest, and credit needs.
Builds long-term financial advisory relationships with clients.
Understands financial planning principles and is able to discuss planning topics with clients and prospects at a high level.
Anticipates future client needs and regularly calls on clients to proactively offer solutions to financial needs.
Complies with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university plus five to ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven track record of new business development success, including: prospecting, profiling, overcoming objections, negotiations, team selling, closing sales and asking for referrals. Candidates should have an existing network of professional Centers of Influence in the Wealth Management space.
Strong relationship management and team building skills.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
