Job Description:

Essential Functions:

Responsible for helping GVF Vendors achieve their overall strategy through the innovative use of various funding alternatives; possess and share with the client and other members of the client team expert knowledge of business finance and the products and services associated therewith. Interact regularly with Vendors in an effort to proactively understand their goals, their current performance, and their financing needs. The person filling this position will use this client knowledge to assess the appropriateness of existing solutions and to propose optimal financing alternatives or additional financing solutions.

Directly responsible for managing credit quality and the approval process through their interaction with Risk Management Officers, GVF Marketing Officers and Credit Product Managers. Provide guidance and training to junior Leasing Credit Officers.

This position is posted as a Leasing Credit Manager; however, based on the skill set/experience of the candidate the position could be filled as a Leasing Credit Officer II team leader.

Required Education:

Bachelor Degree -- Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math or other Business concentration preferred.

Prior Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in credit underwriting and/or portfolio management experience

  • Middle market/small business experience preferred

  • Prior management experience a plus

  • Vendor finance credit analysis experience preferred

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience in the analyzing, structuring and underwriting of middle market transactions

  • Strong credit and analytical skills; ability to analyze risk

  • Must be able to analyze, interpret and negotiate third party documentation

  • Customer service oriented

  • Problem solving

  • Strong oral and written communication skills as well as negotiation skills

  • Leadership ability to motivate and develop skills of junior associates

  • Ability to interact effectively with support partners and customers

  • Develop and promote effective teamwork

  • Organizational and computer skills

  • Results oriented, is able to accomplish objectives in a specified timeframe

  • Limited Travel
